FieldGuide

FieldGuide™ uses proprietary methods to support landscape interpretation. It combines terrain, LiDAR, satellite imagery, historic mapping, environmental data, hydrology and archaeological context to help identify areas of likely past activity.

FindSpot does not claim ownership of any third-party source datasets. The selection, combination, sequencing, transformation, weighting, scoring, classification and generated interpretation of those datasets within FieldGuide remain the intellectual property of FindSpot.

FieldGuide outputs are provided for field research support only. They highlight areas of potential, not guaranteed finds.

Club Day and Rally Dig

FindSpot's Club Day and Rally Dig system — including the QR code join flow, organiser dashboard, member session export, and combined find import — is a proprietary workflow developed by FindSpot.

The design, structure and mechanics of this system are protected. You may not copy, recreate or commercialise this workflow or any part of it without written permission.

Club and rally listings submitted to FindSpot are published for community benefit. FindSpot reserves the right to approve, edit or remove listings. Listing data is not sold or shared beyond the FindSpot platform.

Report Use

Generated FindSpot reports — including field visit reports, find cards and permission agreements — may be shared freely for personal detecting records, landowner communications, club reporting and heritage recording purposes.

Commercial reproduction of report layouts or generated interpretation without written permission is not permitted.

Data and Privacy

FindSpot is local-first. Your find spots, permissions and landowner details are stored on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers.

Club and rally dig data is only transmitted when you choose to send it, using the in-app export feature. See our Privacy page for full details.
